Grief Support Group

The circle of life ends with death. Somewhere, somehow, we all learn this fact. Knowing doesn't make the end of life any easier to deal with or prepare for, unfortunately, as it is hard not to fear death when you know it can come at any time.

For most of us, it is not our own death but the death of someone we love that is most difficult to manage. These past two years with the pandemic have been especially hard because we've had to cancel, delay, or change funerals and other end-of-life traditions designed to help us grieve and celebrate the lives of loved ones who've died. In many cases, we didn't even get to see our loved one to say goodbye. Even now, as the pandemic ebbs and flows, it is still hard to know where and how to safely gather with others for help and support. Nothing can replace these lost opportunities, and the grief that comes with them can feel even more difficult.

Grieving is hard, yet not addressing your grief can make things even harder. Talking about it with others helps. Join us at North Shore Area Partners for our Grief Support Group. We meet on the 1st Thursday of each month at 1 pm.
